Calling all tall drivers! If you're 6'3" (1.91m) or taller, share your experience with racing seats, especially for the 991.2 GT3 RS. Which models offer the best fit, comfort, and support for taller frames? Let's help others find the perfect seat for the track!

Let me know what other seats I should add!

I'm a die hard Recaro loyalist. For your frame, you may want to look at the SPG XL or the Podium (L).

My car came with the OEM LWBs, but honestly they are not ideal for serious track driving. The seating position feels off to me (even with angle brackets) and I wish I could sit lower. I already have a customized P1 Designs lower cushion that is 1" thinner, but it's still not low enough for me. I've have been deciding between the Recaro Podium (M) and the Pro Racer RMS for quite some time.

Will you be solely driving your car on track? Or will there be some road use? OEM seatbelt compatibility may be a factor to consider.

If I recall correctly, I spoke with a gentleman at DiscoveryParts, the performance shop at Atlanta Motorsports Park. He was about my size (6'3", 240lbs—mostly muscle, haha) and recommended the Sparco EVO XL over the Recaro options. I also had the chance to sit in a Sabelt XL Pad seat in a GT3 R race car, and it offered excellent head clearance and ample shoulder room. My shoulders don’t fit well in the LWBs, and I can’t lower the seat enough to wear my helmet comfortably. While I could lean the seat back, it wasn’t the most comfortable position. I’m planning to mount the Sabelt directly to the floor and have also ordered a slider to see how it affects head clearance. For driving, I’ll use the Sabelt for track days and am considering the 18-way seats for longer road use. Regarding your seatbelt concern, I plan to swap seats based on the driving scenario, so it might not be an issue. I know others who do the same for track days. I'll let you know if I have any seatbelt issues.

Are you close to Atlanta? If yes, go sit in some seats at Atlanta Motorsports Park.
